PIR Detector WXS-AM

The OPTEX WXS-AM is a wired outdoor 180° PIR detector designed for reliable perimeter and approach protection of residential and commercial properties.
It provides wide-area detection with a range of up to 12 metres when low mounted, or 9 metres when mounted at 2 metres height.

The WXS-AM uses four PIR sensors with double-layered detection and pet tolerance to help reduce false alarms caused by small animals.
Intelligent anti-masking, automatic walk testing and OPTEX SMDA technology contribute to reliable detection in demanding outdoor environments.

Double conductive shielding also helps protect against interference from bright sunlight and radio-frequency interference.

The detector offers independently adjustable left and right detection areas, each with its own alarm output, making it suitable for applications where
separate zones are required, including CCTV-assisted security solutions.

Installation height can be selected between 0.8–1.2 metres for low mounting or 2 metres for high mounting.

With an IP55-rated housing and an operating temperature range of -30°C to +60°C, the WXS-AM is designed for outdoor installations in demanding conditions.
The detector operates on 9.5–18 VDC and has a maximum current consumption of 23 mA at 12 VDC.
