Designed for residential and commercial applications, it provides wide-area detection up to 12 metres with low mounting, or 9 metres with high mounting.
The detector uses triple-layered detection, pet tolerance and OPTEX SMDA technology to help reduce false alarms caused by environmental disturbances.
The combination of PIR and microwave detection also provides improved stability in challenging conditions such as strong sunlight.
Intelligent self-learning IR anti-masking detects attempts to cover the sensor lens.
The left and right detection areas can be adjusted independently, including detection range and sensitivity, with separate alarm outputs for each side.
The detection range can be adjusted from 2.5 to 12 metres when low mounted.
The detector supports both low mounting at 0.8–1.2 metres and high mounting at 2 metres.
The WXS-DAM-X5 operates on 9.5–18 VDC, with a maximum current consumption of 24 mA at 12 VDC.
Its IP55-rated housing is designed for outdoor installation and operates from -20°C to +45°C.
